President Jonathan Begs Nigerians to embrace peace


GEJThe President do not have to Charge or Task Nigerians to embrace Peace! Nigerians are Peace loving people! We know that without peace there can never be any form of development! What Nigerians need are not the words of the president, they want action! Get rid of all these killing sects! Work sir! Let’s see it! We will even be the ones calling for a longer stay for you in office. Mr President, Please stop going to bed, with your roof on fire!

President Jonathan Tasks Nigerians On Peace, Tolerance.

President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and forgiveness in all their undertakings in order to promote peace and development in the country.
The president who was speaking yesterday at the official installation and presentation of the staff of office to the Attah Igala, Prince Idakwo Micheal Oboni II by the Kogi State governor, Captain Idris Wada said the nation would be better if everybody becomes the brother’s keeper and exhibit peace.
President Jonathan who was represented by the minister of interior, Abba Moro, said peace is crucial to the development and growth of the nation.
The president stated that the ascension to the throne of the Attah Igala by Oboni without rancour was an indication of his acceptance by the people of the Igala kingdom.
He urged the Attah to unite the people of the state for peace to reign, commending the state governor for ensuring peace in the state despite diverse backgrounds.
Earlier, the state governor, said the appointment of the new Attah Igala followed the due process as stated by the law and tradition of the land.
He called on the people of the area to give their maximum support to the royal father in all his endeavours for him to succeed.
Responding, the Attah Igala, urged the people of Igala to support him in his determination to ensure rapid development of Igala land.
He commended Governor Wada and the Igala people for accepting him as the Attah Igala, promising he would not to betray the confidence reposed in him.
