My first thought? (About Amechi's and GEJ's rift ) These guys should just stop kidding around! The power play should stop and concentration in improving the lives of Nigerians should be on the Top Agenda! To tell you the truth, I like Amechi's Guts! He seems to be telling the very oga at the top ,- "This is no Bayelsa, and I Am not Timipre Sylva, so you better know where and how you throw your weight Mr PHD Boss!"
And you know something else, Amechi has the Support of his State! Kudos! Bros!

But when una settle now, we no go know ooo. Abi my people?!

The Story!

Governor Amaechi Dares Jonathan: You Can't Move Me At All.

The stage is set for a total showdown between President Goodluck Jonathan and his men on the one hand and Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State, on the
other, TON gathered.

The latest plot, according top insiders, is to impeach Amaechi so that he won't stand a chance to remain in the headship of the Nigerian Governor's Forum. It appears several Northern governors want Amaechi to stay in office as Chairman but the Presidency is angry...

Also, information coming Rivers State indicates that Amaechi is already aware of the plot. Speaking through Mrs Ibim Semenitari, his Commissioner for Information, Governor Amaechi said any attempt to impeach him through the back door will not succeed.

Below is the message from Governor Amaechi to those who want him out at all cost:

“We are aware that people are imagining that it will be possible to attempt a Dariye treatment in Rivers State where they will take just five members of the Rivers State House of Assembly out of 32 members and attempt an impeachment of the Governor of Rivers State.

“But this is Rivers State; this is not Plateau State and Nigerians are a lot more aware now than they were at that time. This democracy must stand and the people of Rivers State will defend every vote that they have cast for Governor Chibuike Amaechi.

“So, there is no way it is going to happen that a very tiny, insignificant minority in the Rivers State House of Assembly will be able to oust Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi.

“I know that the governor is in full control of the state. I know that there are no matters for concern in Rivers State. I am aware that a couple of few hoodlums and rabble-rousers are trying to cause disaffection in the state and trying to pretend that there is chaos in Rivers State.”

On the threat by Asari Dokubo that Governor Amaechi would be treated as a traitor in the Niger Delta for his failure to support President Jonathan, the government said:

“It is a democracy and so everybody has a right to abuse; whether those views are right or wrong is irrelevant. I do not think that as a government, we will respond to that; there is nothing to respond to in his allegations.

“Dokubo-Asari has every right to his views. But whatever he wants to say, the veracity of it is a different matter.”
