Rivers Crisis: Policemen Withdrawn From Amaechi’s Loyalist.

And the story keeps getting more and more interesting. Mmmm....I saw the said interview on Channels TV! Enjoy the read!

Rivers Crisis: Policemen Withdrawn From Amaechi’s Loyalist.
 by pmnews.

The political crisis rocking Rivers state, southsouth Nigeria, took a new dimension when on Thursday the State Police Command ordered the withdrawal of Mobile Policemen guarding the Okrika Local Government boss and the council secretariat.

The withdrawal of the policemen from Mr Tamuno Williams, the chairman of Okrika Local Government Council, who is Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s loyalist, followed his interview on Channels Television, during which he condemned the sealing off of Obio Akpor council secretariat by the police, which he considered illegal.

Williams, confirmed it was true that all the Mobile Policemen who had until Thursday morning provided security for the council and himself, had been withdrawn without notice.

According to him, he was yet to be told officially who ordered the withdrawal of the policemen. He said when he tried to find out who directed the withdrawal of the policemen he was told that it was “an order from above”.

“All the mobile policemen attached to the council and my office have been withdrawn. No name has been mentioned as to who might have given the order for the withdrawal. Everybody has just been saying ‘order from above’. As I am talking to you now we are without police protection,” William said.

The state’s Police Commissioner, Mbu Joseph Mbu, declined to speak on the issue.

Angela Agabe, DSP, the new Police Public Relations Officer of the Command, who resumed duty Thursday, said she had got across to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Okrika and was still expecting details of what happened from him.

The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, expressed shock at the action of the police, saying it is becoming increasingly difficult not to believe that the police in the state had not been compromised.

She expressed worry that a council like Okrika where many federal economic installations are located could be subjected to a situation that exposes it to danger as the police had done.

“It is difficult at this point now to determine if this is about misjudgement or if indeed the police commissioner is doing these things. It is worrisome when you hear that a local government chairman goes on air and immediately after, the police commissioner directs the Mopol commander to withdraw the Mopol attached to Okrika. You then no longer understand what exactly is going on, whether it is about politics or about security because in a place like Okrika, it will be unthinkable that the police commissioner will ask that the Mopol in Okrika be withdrawn.

“Nobody can explain that and that is where you have vital federal installations. So what is this about? I really had, up till now, chosen to believe that the CP was not involved in any of these shenanigans going on, but with this latest thing now, I’m beginning to have cause to worry and I really hope that I am still correct,” Semenitari said.

Okiro Not Fit For Police Service Commission Chair —Falana.

Okiro Not Fit For Police Service Commission Chair —Falana.

 by pmnews.

Lagos lawyer and human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana has called on President Goodluck Jonathan to withdraw the nomination of Mr. Mike Okiro as the Chairman of the Police Service Commission, PSC.

In line with the provisions of the Constitution, President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday forwarded the name of Okiro, a former Inspector-General of Police, to the Senate for confirmation as Chairman of the PSC.

In a statement, Falana faulted the nomination of Okiro, saying it is against the provisions of the constitution.

The activist submitted that while Okiro was qualified for the position on account of his experience, he is disqualified by virtue of his membership of the ruling party.

Until last month, Okiro was the Chief of Staff to the PDP chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur.

According to Falana: “The Police Service Commission is one of the Federal Executive bodies established under Section 153 of the Constitution. Section 156 provides that a member of any of such bodies ‘shall not be required to belong to a political party.’

“More importantly, Section 42 of the Constitution provides that no citizen of Nigeria shall be conferred with any advantage or privilege that is not accorded to citizens of other political opinions. Furthermore, article 13(3) of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights Act stipulates that all citizens shall have equal access to the public service of the country without discrimination whatsoever.”

Falana argued further that going by these clear provisions of the laws, a body which is empowered to recruit and discipline all police personnel other than the Inspector-General of Police is expected to be constituted by non partisan individuals of unimpeachable integrity.

“As a loyal party member of the PDP, Mr. Okiro is politically alligned and biased. Accordingly, he is not competent to head the Police Service Commission which is part of the public service of the country to which all Nigerian citizens have equal access, regardless of political affliations. Knowing his antecedents in the Nigeria Police Force, Mr. Okiro is going to manipulate the members of the Commission to serve the parochial interests of the Peoples Democratic Party,” he added.

He appealed to President Jonathan to replace Okiro’s name with another competent Nigerian who is not a card carrying member of any of the registered political parties in the country.

“Having regard to the fact that President Jonathan had in the past removed registered members of the PDP from the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Mike Okiro’s nomination should be withdrawn from the Senate and replaced with the name of another competent Nigerian who is not a card carrying member of any of the registered political parties in the country,” he stated.

Nigeria police free 17 pregnant girls in raid

Nigerian police have found 17 pregnant teenage girls in a raid on a house, and were searching Friday for a woman suspected of planning to sell their babies, a spokeswoman said.
Joy Elomoko of the southeastern Imo state police said all the girls were between 14 and 17 years old and that 11 small children were also found in the house.
Some locals believed the building called the Ahamefula Motherless Babies Home served as an orphanage and shelter for expecting mothers.
"Acting on a tip-off, a special unit of the Imo State police command raided the illegal home in Umuaka on Wednesday and rescued 17 girls, aged between 14 and 17, at different stages of pregnancies," Elomoko told AFP.
"The girls claimed they were fed once a day and were not allowed to leave the home," she added.
The girls told police that their babies were to be sold to "willing buyers," Elomoko said.
It was not clear if the girls were brought to the home by force.
The girls further told police that they had been impregnated by a 23-year-old man who is currently in custody, along with the security guard who worked at the compound.
"The proprietress of the home is at large, but we have launched a man-hunt for her," Elomoko said.
In a human trafficking report released last month, the European Union identified Nigeria as the African country where the scourge is most common.
The report said the selling of children was widespread and Nigerian police have previously uncovered so-called baby factories.
In May of 2011 in southeastern Abia state, police freed 32 pregnant girls who said they had been offered to sell their babies for between 25,000 and 30,000 naira (191 dollars), depending on the sex of the baby.
Another 17 pregnant girls were discovered in southern Anambra state in October 2011 under similar circumstances.
The United Nations cultural agency UNESCO has previously identified human trafficking as the third most common crime in Nigeria, behind fraud and drug trafficking.

Lawmaker Begs Police To Forgive Militia That Killed Over 60 Police Officers In Nasarawa.

Every one is crying out for peace, who is crying out for Justice? - Peter Tosh

Lawmaker Begs Police To Forgive Militia That Killed Over 60 Police Officers In Nasarawa.

A member of the House of Representatives; Joseph Kigbu on Thursday urged the House to appeal to authorities of the Nigeria Police Force to forgive the militia group; Ombatse, that killed over 60 police officers in an ambush in Nasarawa state.

Representative Kigbu urged the militia to embrace peace and find an amicable solution to the crisis that has claimed an untold number of lives.

The House leadership also urged the force to let go of any plan to retaliate against the killing its personnel by a suspected cult group.

Lawmakers condemned the attack on the police officers who were ambushed on a mission to dislodge the group, but urged restraint. They pledged to institute a team to reach out to the spouses of the slain officers.

Leading the debate on the killings, Mr Kigbu stated that within six months, the state has lost many people as a result of similar clashes.

He urged the federal government and Nasarawa state government to dialogue with the group involved in the killings instead of retaliating.

“We cannot condone it anymore as the crisis if not checked will stretch to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja,” Mr. Haruna warned.

Chinese Man Keeps Himself Alive For 13 Years Using Homemade Dialysis Machine.

This is Really cool! Desperate times they say, calls for Desperate measures! Each one of us should endeavour to be creative! This is scary though!
--------------------------------------------------------

Chinese Man Keeps Himself Alive For 13 Years Using Homemade Dialysis Machine.

Consumers who think items made in China are inferior and useless may think twice after reading this —but are cautioned not to try this at home.

A Chinese man suffering from kidney disease, Hu Songwen, has kept himself alive for 13 years using a homemade dialysis machine, UK’s Daily Mail reported.

“The cost for each home treatment is only 60 yuan (£6 or P391), which is 12 percent of the hospital charge for dialysis,” it quoted Hu as saying.

Hu, a resident of a rural area in East China, built the contraption after he could no longer afford high hospital bills.
The machine, used thrice a week, is made of kitchen utensils and old medical instruments.
Also, Hu used disused medical equipment, such as a blood pump and plastic tubing.

The Daily Mail report said Hu was diagnosed with kidney disease in 1993, while he was a college student.
While he initially underwent dialysis in hospitals, his savings ran out after six years – leaving him no choice but to make his own machine.

Not even the death of two friends who tried to build and use similar homemade machines fazed him.
‘External kidney’
The Daily Mail report said Hu’s machine works like an external kidney, with blood pumped through one half of the machine, and the dialysis fluid pumped through the other half.

Hu’s dialysis fluid is a mix of potassium chloride, sodium chloride and sodium hydrogen carbonate (bicarbonate), and purified water.

“For the treatment, he inserts two tubes into his arm, which are connected to his dialysis machine. The blood is pumped out of his arm through one of the tubes, is filtered and then returned to his body via the other tube,” the report said.

When the blood and dialysis fluid go through the machine, excess minerals go from his blood and through the membrane to the fluid.

This removes the waste products from his blood and the fluid is later thrown away. The “clean” blood is then pumped back into his body.

On the other hand, Hu said the nearest public hospital to his home is not only too far away, but also too crowded.
Doctors’ warning.

On the other hand, doctors warned Hu may risk serious infection and long-term complications by not using sterile water to make the fluid.

But Hu, who lives with his 81-year-old mother in Qutang township of Jiangsu Province, says he has limited options.
The Chinese government also offered medical aid to Hu when his story sparked national interest following media reports.
But Hu said he was reluctant to switch as the nearest hospital is far away and very crowded.

World's Fact.

Rituals Allegation: PROPHET AYORINDE ABANDONS CHURCH FOR SENIOR PASTOR, As Mass Exodus Hit WEBC

My Opinion? That people stopped going to the Church? Someone else is performing better Miracles! And hey, most people are church goers! They are not believers! And the Prophet on the other hand, should stop the run, and face it!  He shouldn't give the impression he is waiting for the heat to die down before showing up! What is,"he only comes to the Ojota/Ogudu Head Quarters ones a month cus"... Na wah!   Abi my people?

--------------------------------------------------------
Rituals Allegation: PROPHET AYORINDE ABANDONS CHURCH FOR SENIOR PASTOR, As Mass Exodus Hit WEBC

Prophet Samson Ayorinde of the World Evangelism Bible Church, with headquarters in Ojota, Lagos, has described as untrue the festering allegation that he buried a human being in his church premises so as to continue to enjoy massive patronage. The minister of the gospel who trained as an architect and hails from Ilorin, Kwara State also denied relocating abroad due to the devastating impact of the unpleasant allegation on his ministry.

During our visit to the church (situated on 51/53, Ogudu Road, beside Kosofe local government secretariat, Ojota, Lagos), on Monday, April 8, 2013, at about 12 noon, the security man who identified himself simply as Timothy directed us to the new Resident Pastor and new man in charge, one Harold Chinonyerem. Adorning a gray shirt and black trousers, he first scolded the security man for allowing a press man into the church without first clearing from him before attending to us.

On being intimated with our mission, he said: “Those who said the church used to be more than this in terms of population may be right, because about 6-7 years ago, we used to block the whole street during our services and we normally conducted four to five services on Sundays. But they should also remember that at that time, we only had this church building in the whole of Lagos and all our followers were coming from far and near to worship at this headquarters church, but now we have over 40 branches in Lagos alone; more than 10 branches in the United Kingdom and over 20 branches scattered across Europe.

“So, what would you say now if I tell you that the Prophet was here in church on Sunday, April 7, 2013 for the church’s monthly Holy Communion? What would you also say if I tell you that the Prophet is still in Lagos at present and that you might even meet him before you leave us today? I have been a member of this church for over 10 years and I’ve pioneered two churches; one at Isolo, Lagos, about three years ago and another one in Port-Harcourt, where I was before I was appointed as the Resident Pastor of this headquarters church. For some years now, the Prophet has made it a must to be in the Lagos headquarters church every month for the monthly Holy Communion service and he has not missed it more than once since that time.

“That the man of God ran away from Lagos is a lie from the pit of hell. He used to be in Lagos frequently before because all his followers are in Lagos, but now that they are scattered all across the world, he needs to visit them and show his love, care and fatherly attitude to as many nations as he can touch. The rumour is unfounded and I’m sure if the Prophet hears about this, he would laugh over it because I’m sure you might have been hearing something of this nature before now, so we are used to it”.

But persisting with their allegation, our sources countered thus: “What were you expecting before? Were you expecting the church or whoever you spoke to, to say it’s true? Of course, they wouldn’t have done that. And for you to know that something is wrong somewhere I just want you to examine these: Why would the General Overseer leave his headquarters for a Resident Pastor? Secondly, can the Pope leave the Vatican City, the headquarters of the Catholic Church or even Pastor E.A Adeboye leave The Redeemed Camp in the hands of a Resident Pastor or even Bishop David Oyedepo leave The Canaanland for a Resident Pastor?

“Another thing that will tell you that something is wrong somewhere is that the crowd that we used to know the church with has deserted it. Even the man’s midnight prayer programme on LTV or MITV has also stopped. But we pray he survives the wicked rumour because if you encounter the Prophet one on one, you will surely like him. He’s quiet, talks slowly and appears to me like a gentleman”. A native of Rore, Ilorin, Kwara State, Ayorinde is the second of his parents’ five children. His father was a carpenter and his mother, a house wife.

Born on October 6, 1961, he attended St. Michael’s Primary School and Ilorin Grammar School. Thereafter, he proceeded to Kwara State Polytechnic; from there, he moved to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria where he bagged his first degree and Master’s in Architecture. Metamorphosing into a lecturer at ABU, his ministry started in 1995 with only 20 people in Zaria, Kaduna State. This was after he had been bought for the Lord by Prof. D.B Olumeyan, also a lecturer in the school. From Zaria, he relocated to Lagos after three years and little by little, his growth started. His ‘Miracle Service’, then held every Tuesday, used to be jampacked. Likewise his monthly programme, ‘Anointing Night’, which used to hold inside the premises of LTV in Agidingbi, Lagos and sometimes at the mainbowl of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos. Both programmes used to attract thousands of people. Married to Mercy and blessed with four children (Peace, Praise, Perez and Priscilla), even his television and radio ministry, PROPHET SAMSON AYORINDE LIVE, which used to air three times in a week, has also stopped.

two offshore banks and the rest are Nigerian banks.”

Some Nigerians No Longer Need Visa To South África.

Some Nigerians no longer need go through the hassles of obtaining a visa in order to travel to South Africa. This is because Nigeria and South Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to make it unnecessary for nationals of both countries holding official or diplomatic passports to acquire visa before travelling to either

country. The MoU was signed on Tuesday between President Goodluck Jonathan and his host, President Jacob Zuma, during a closed door bilateral session between the two leaders in the South African president’s office in Cape Town.

P-Square Star’s Paternity Dispute: “London Baby” His First Child, Says Family Source

The paternity controversy between Nigerian music star and entertainer, P-2 (real name Paul Okoye), and a beauty pageant contestant and model, Elshamah Igbanoi, has taken a new twist. SaharaReporters first broke the news that Ms. Elshamah was stuck in London over unpaid maternity bills after giving birth to a baby boy she said was fathered by Paul.
A close relative of Mr. Okoye’s has contacted SaharaReporters and asserted that the baby born by Ms. Elshamah Igbanoi, a former Miss Plateau State, is in fact the musician-entertainer’s first child. A few weeks ago, P-Square had thrown a party in Atlanta, Georgia to welcome another baby born by a different lover of his.
Our initial report about the musician’s paternity dispute with the former Miss Plateau went viral. However, Mr. Paul Okoye has kept mum, even though some blogs reported that his public relations claimed that the paternity report was a “hoax” and even an “April Fools’ joke.”

A family source close to Mr. Okoye, known as “P-2” in the hip-hop musical duo P-Square, said

It been all in the News that Psquare’s Paul Okoye–had another baby delivered for him in a London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant.  A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, Paul however, refused to claim paternal responsibilities for the baby boy.

He  reacted to the breaking news that he abandoned his second baby mama, Elshama Benson Igbanoi in a London hospital. Speaking through his media rep on Sunday, Paul stated that it is a trivial issue because the allegation lacks substance.

His media rep, inturn said the lady was not known to them and they are not going to glorify her with a response. The rep also said, "Are you sure this is not April fool?"

Well, I guess only a paternity test will tell. And

All Ladies Should Read This: Eight Leadership Lessons From The World's Most Powerful Women.

Stay Determined

The world’s most successful women really want it–and remain determined even in the face of obstacles. They have the skills, and they put the time in. But more importantly, they have the desire to do something great. Beth Brooke, global vice chair of Ernst & Young, was diagnosed with a degenerative hip disease at age 13 and was told by doctors she may never walk again. Before going into surgery she promised herself she would walk—no, she would run—and aspired to become one of the best young athletes the world had seen. Not only did she walk, she went on to play several varsity sports at her high school, earned multiple MVP awards, and later played Division I basketball in college. She made up her mind, and she didn’t quit. She brought that same determination to her career and today ranks among the 100 most powerful women in the world.

She travelled abroad, gave birth quietly and came back, still nobody was identified as the baby daddy. A few names have cropped up but none of them seem serious. Finally the identity is out… It was gathered that Omawumi was handsomely settled to keep the name of her baby’s father a top secret. The reason is that the man is a sitting governor in one of the oil rich South South states and his wife is said to be very brutal; she “deals with ladies” who come close to her husband.
We gathered that Omawumi’s child has the looks of the said governor and this is why she hardly go out with the child. The governor has big eye balls, he is dark and not tall. The source said the First Lady, that is the governor’s wife, is already aware that husband had fathered a child with Omawumi.
I hear she’s mad at the development and has sent strong warning to Omawumi to “completely stay away” from her husband otherwise she will be sorry. As a result, about two years since Omawumi gave birth she has not stepped her legs in the state as she’s closely being watched.
Let me not drop the governor’s name, but from my description you guys should know him.

Soyinka to GEJ "Cool it"

imagesshoyinThis guy is so refreshing! I was expecting his piece to be voluminous, but it just wasn't! And very weighty! What were you expecting? This lines are it for me! And its so true about Nigerians! What do you think?
" Even the notoriously short Nigerian memory remains traumatised by recollection of the rape of Anambra that was enabled by the connivance of federal might..."
This is a Must read!

Soyinka: Cool It, President Jonathan.
by pmnews.
Nigeria’s Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka today issued a press statement, advising President Goodluck Jonathan on the handling of state affairs.
The full text:
“The increasing flash points in the nation have reached an unsustainable level, and responsible governance must accept that it is an urgent duty to diminish, not increase them. Even the notoriously short Nigerian memory remains traumatised by recollection of the rape of Anambra that was enabled by the connivance of federal might, and the abandonment of all moral scruples in executive disposition.
“The people of Ogun state were humiliated by the antics of a power besotted governor, with their elected legislators locked out of the National Assembly for upwards of a year. That hideous travesty was again made possible by the abusive use of the police. Even a child in this nation knows that the police derives its enabling and operational authority from the dictates of the Centre, so there can be no disguising whose will is being executed wherever democratic norms are flouted and the people’s rights ground to mush under dictatorial heels.
“Before the irretrievable point of escalation is reached, we have a duty to sound a collective alarm, even without the lessons of past violations of constitutional rights and apportionments of elected representatives of the people, and their consequences. There is an opportunity in Rivers state to break this spiraling culture of executive impunity – manifested in both subtle and crude ways – that is fast becoming the norm in a post-military dispensation that fitfully aspires to be called a democracy.”

The embattled president of Aguiyi Ironsi International Market popularly know as Ladipo market in Mushin, Jonathan Okoli was today granted N5m bail by Justice Olabisi Akinlade of the Ikeja High Court.

Okoli was arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on allegation of stealing over N52 million belonging to his market association.

According to the charge filed by the EFCC counsel, Mr Anslem Ozioko, Okoli was alleged to have between 2009 and 2010, collected N52.08 million from members of Aguiyi Ironsi International Market Traders Union.

Ozioko said the money was entrusted to Okoli for the payment of Trade Permits and Auto Dealers fees by members of the association.

The prosecutor alleged that Okoli diverted the money to his personal use and failed to remit the payments to the Lagos State Government and Mushin Local Government Area.

After his arraignment last week, Okoli who pleaded not guilty to the charge was ordered to be remanded in prison pending the determination of his application for bail.

Ruling on the bail application today, Justice Olabisi Akinlade held that Okoli is entitled to bail as the offences he is being charged with, are bailable offences.

The Judge subsequently granted him bail in the sum of N5million with two sureties.

The sureties, the judge said should swear to an affidavit of means and show evidence of tax payment to the Lagos state government

She adjourned the matter till 2 July, 2013 for trial.

Okoli is also standing trial before another high court over allegation of attempted murder.

But here are some lines of what they stated she allegedly did... My people, how long shall we continue with this?

"In May 2011, she was given N3.9 million to cover the cost of her vacation in New York, USA with her husband. To retire the amount, she presented a bill from Emmanuella Travelling Agency. But instead of the name of her husband, Adebayo Ladipo, as her vacationer, the bill bore a fictitious name, Ladi Ladipo, as that of her husband. She did not travel for the vacation and the money was never returned".-

Pls after reading this Article, can someone please tell me what Chris Brown meant by the word- "wifing?" Cus me, I have no idea! As the Chic even Senior I am!

The Story!
-------------------------------------------------------
Chris Brown Confirms Breakup With Rihanna.

Chris Brown says he "can't really be focused on wifing someone that young" and talks about where his focus lies now.
Chris Brown is no longer in a relationship with Rihanna. According to Brown, the two have parted ways romantically.

"At the end of the day, shawty doing her own thing," he explained to The Kyle And Jackie O Show. "She on the road…It’s always gonna be love but I'm just gonna do me. I’m a grown man so I just gotta walk forward."

He added that he "can't really be focused on wifing someone that young."

"’ll just put it like this," he continued. "One thing I always want to do is never disrespect anybody or put nobody down. The way I look at it is, I'm always gonna love that person and people have different wants and needs. At the end of the day, she’s a young girl. I can’t really be focused on wifing someone that young. And I’m young too so I can’t focus on that right now. I gotta step forward and be a man and be the best Chris Brown I can be instead of worrying about whoever else is gonna be in my side pocket."

Brown is reportedly 24 years old and Rihanna is reportedly 25. The pair spent Brown's birthday weekend in different states, with Brown celebrating in Las Vegas, Nevada and Rihanna in Brooklyn, New York.

Brown and Rihanna reunited last year. The pair originally separated after Brown assaulted Rihanna in 2009. In 2012, Rihanna spoke of their relationship, saying they will "probably" always love one another. "We love each other, and we probably always will," she clarified. "That's not something you can shut off if you've ever been in love."

Mike Adenuga's Swag! Unbeatable!

gggimages
I Admire this Man to the Extreme! He is one of the few reasons I say, Am Proud to be Nigerian! The Message below went round, a few days ago. I don't exactly know how true it is. Read and tell me what you think.

- This happened last night Friday May 3rd at Mike Adenuga Tower on Adeola Odeku street in Victoria Island. Hundreds of staff of telecoms giant Globacom gathered at the lounge situated on the ground floor of the office building to celebrate with their chairman after a text message was passed round the office on Thursday afternoon inviting staff to a birthday bash with him. Mike Adenuga turned 60 on Monday April 29th.
Okey Bakassi was there as the MC, the DJ was already playing music, drinks passed round while people waited for the billionaire businessman to arrive. Mike Adenuga eventually showed up in his Range Rover bullet proof SUV around 8pm. He graciously greeted people at the entrance of the lounge but stopped in his tracks as people started cheering loudly as he entered the lounge.
The haling was so loud and probably too much for Adenuga that he immediately turned around and left the lounge. He got into his car and left with his security detail. He never came back.
Glo staff waited for a few hours and eventually left when they realized their chairman was not coming back. Lesson learnt: Mike Adenuga doesn't appreciate unnecessary famzing :)

Asa’s Lesbianism Case faces more challenges!

Asa
I read this about our darling Asa, I just feel troubled! With somuch pity! You struggle so hard, then comes Stardom, before you know it, some really dirty Scandal! Haba! Why?

Asa’s Lesbianism Case faces more challenges

Bukola Elemide popularly known as Asa got what she did not bargain for weeks back at Lagos High Court where she’s battling with Lesbianism case.

The case before Justice Coker was to be heard when her star witness, Damilola Amolegbe was said to have declined to be called as a witness, telling Asa’s lawyers from Abraham Chambers that she can’t be a witness in Asa’s matter.

Having granted the music star much indulgence in the matter, the trial Judge then ordered the case to be closed and called for written address of the two parties.

It would be recalled that Asa’s first witness, Taiwo Olakunle of HiTv residing in Ebute Meta West was suddenly dropped at the earlier trial stage when she was confronted with hard evidences.

Meanwhile her manager, Janet Nwose, who was alleged to be having affair with Asa did not come up as a witness which has remained baffling to legal experts.

Speaking at the court, defendant’s lawyer, Yinka Muyiwa  argued that Asa’s evidence shall be relied as he did not call for any witness.

Really, what's going to happen now?
Short Biography
---------------------------
Born Bukola Elemide, Aṣa was born in Paris, France to Nigerian parents. She was two years old when her family returned to live in Nigeria. Aṣa grew up in Lagos, in the south-western part of Nigeria.

She states that the city is “buzzing with energy but also home to a deep-rooted spirituality. Christianity thrives shoulder to shoulder with Islam in an atmosphere of tolerance, and the turbulent city moves endlessly in an infernal and yet harmonious ballet of love and hate, laughter and violence, poverty and wealth. Twenty years later Aṣa returned to Paris, which is where her life as an artist took off.

For, I just wonder what's like having her in that court room with a case like this against her! Such beautiful Talent.

P Square’s [Paul Okoye] Second Baby Mama Stuck In London Hospital Over Unpaid Hospital Bill?

p2-1
Culled from SaharaReporters:

Nigeria’s hip hop sensation, P Square (real name Paul Okoye), has reportedly abandoned the mother of his second baby in a London hospital where the woman recently gave birth to the entertainer’s baby.
A few weeks after welcoming his first new born baby in Atlanta, P Square – who is also known as P2 – had another baby delivered for him in a London hospital by a former beauty pageant contestant. However, this time, P Square has refused to claim paternal responsibility for the baby boy.
SaharaReporters learnt that the new baby’s mother is Elshama Benson Igbanoi, a 19-year-old and former Miss Plateau State. Our sources disclosed that she gave birth at the Queen Charlotte and Chelsea Hospital on Du Cane Road, London W12 0HS.

Our sources said the new mother had been in touch with P2, but he had not been forthcoming beyond telling her that he plans to arrive in London for a DNA test to ascertain paternity. SaharaReporters spoke to the woman’s father, Benson Igbanoi, in Abuja. Mr. Igbanoi stated that his daughter was faithful to the musician. He also revealed that he had sent several emails to P Square concerning his daughter’s pregnancy for him, but had received no response.

Another source said Elshama's family had contacted Paul Okoye's father and aunt to persuade the musician to accept responsibility for his baby.
Ms. Elshama insists that she never slept with any man except for P2, adding that she lost her virginity to him when she was 17 years old.

SaharaReporters learnt that the London hospital where she gave birth has not received any payments. “The hospital has been harassing both Elshama and her mother to pay hospital bills of over £5,000 that have been incurred,” said one source. The baby boy has been named Michelle Paul Okoye.
In a twist to the story, a source close to the former beauty queen said Ms. Elshama was a close friend to Anita, the other woman who gave birth to another baby for P2 a few weeks ago in Atlanta, Georgia.
